Angeline – ‘We Were Raised On Radio’

I’ve been listening to a lot of dark toned and heavy music recently and ‘We Were Raised On Radio’ totally caught me off guard and had me smiling and feeling good immediately! The total contrast in atmospherics to the majority of music I’ve been listening to recently was like a breath of fresh air and made the latest album from Swedish melodic rockers Angeline an instant hit with me!

Angeline is a band I’ve kept a curious eye on over the past decade they’ve always released decent albums even if they aren’t ones that would have me screaming their praises from the rooftops about. I instantly took to these uplifting and feel-good songs so it’s easy for me to say this is in my opinion their strongest album to date, so if you’re already a fan you’re going to really enjoy this.

Angeline are old school melodic rock influenced but they deliver their songs with a more modern approach, so while you can hear those obvious late Eighties inspirations, they deliver it in a fresh manner. I love straight ahead melodic rock like this, it’s really enjoyable and I know genre fans will really appreciate it too, even those new to the band!

‘We Were Raised On Radio’ is very easy to listen to, it’s constantly upbeat and truly uplifting. It has an abundance of smooth melodies and delicious choruses that make for a great happy collection of summertime rock n roll that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Angeline have crafted traditional melodic rock songs infused with some classic rock swagger all wrapped up in summer time feel good atmospherics! Tracks like ‘Closer’, ‘Helpless’, ‘Closer to Forever’ and ‘Halfway To Anywhere’ have already found a home on my repeat play list and I’m confident anyone who desire’s some uplifting music will be fast adding them to their pre-summer summer party play list as well!

If you’re looking for something to help you escape your worries ‘We Were Raised On Radio’ is the perfect album for you it’ll help you relax and certainly uplift you! I’d highly recommend this album to melodic rock genre fans this smile inducing collection of songs is a sure-fire hit! It’s a great melodic rock gem so be sure to not the latest Angeline opus pass you by!
