Theatrical shock rockers Lizzy Borden will be unleashing the new album My Midnight Things via Metal Blade Records. It will include the tracks ‘Obsessed With You’, ‘The Scar Across My Heart’, ‘Run Away With Me’ and ‘We Belong To The Shadows’.

Ryan Roxie – long time Alice Cooper Guitarist – has just released his solo album Imagine Your Reality. It features the songs ‘Over and Done’, ‘Look Me In The Eye’, ‘Hearts In Trouble’ and ‘Nevermind Me’ amongst others.

Cult AOR heroes Guild Of Ages will release their latest album Rise on June 29th via Escape Music. It will include the songs ‘Around The Sun’, ‘Addicted’, ‘Love Rules All’ and ‘I’ll Keep Burnin’’.

British AOR-ster’s Dare have re-recorded their classic debut album Out Of The Silence. It’s slated for release on June 29th through Legend Records.

Swedish hard rockers Hardcore Superstar will release their latest album You Can’t Kill My Rock N Roll on the 21st of September.

Vixen are releasing a live album entitled Live Fire via Rat Pak Records on July 6th. It was recorded at Chicago’s Arcada Theatre during their 2017 tour. In addition to the twelve live tracks there is a brand-new studio recorded song ‘You Ought To Know By Now’ which we assured is in the style of classic Vixen, a new acoustic version of ‘Edge of a Broken Heart’ and a live version of unreleased track ‘Big Brother’.

German Metallers Primal Fear will release their latest album Apocalypse on August 10th through Frontiers Records. The album features the tracks ‘King of Madness’, ‘Blood, Sweat and Fear’, ‘Eye of the Storm’ and ‘Supernova’.

Frontiers have signed LA based melodic rock group Waiting For Monday after been brought to the attention of the label by Jeff Scott Soto. The band are currently writing and recording what will be their debut album, more details to be announced soon.

Popular AOR musician Robert Berry will release a new album The Rules Have Changed under the band name 3.2. Frontiers will unleash it on the 10th of August and features the songs ‘One by One’, ‘Powerful Man’, ‘This Letter’ and ‘Your Mark On The World’.

Phil Mogg vocalist with legendary UK rockers UFO has announced he will retire after the bands 2019 UK tour. It will be UFO’s 50th anniversary and it will include an appearance at HRH AOR 2019 in North Wales. Mogg who turns 71 next year has given permission to the rest of the band to continue as UFO if they wish to, but early indicators suggest the band will also retire as Mogg is the only original member left. So, if UFO are on your bucket list or a band you occasionally see, next year will be your last chance – It’s a sad farewell to one of the UK finest hard rock groups.

Talking of HRH AOR the final 15 acts to join the previously announced bands have been announced – Including the final headliner – Ted Poley! The other additions are Jizzy Pearl, Wayward Sons, Heavy Pettin’, Knock Out Kaine, The New Breed, Burnt Out Wreck, Tomorrow Is Lost, Reece, Black Star Bullet, Sykko Dolls, Trench Dogs, Last Great Dreamers, Wraith and Damn Dice.

Melodic Rock Records have delved into the archives for Joe Cerisano’s Silver Condor. The label will release a package of songs called Studio Cuts, Rarities and Live Across America. It will be extremely limited edition to just 500 copies so if you want it keep an eye out for it’s release on June 22nd. It features the tracks ‘It’s Over’, ‘Standing In The Rain’, ‘Healing Hand’ and ‘Your Turn To Cry’.

Austrian Klaus Schubert has gathered a load of special guests to join him on his latest album Schubert In Rock, Commander in Pain will be released on June 29th via Pure Steel Records. Stars appearing include Jeff Scott Soto, Dan McCaffrey (Nazareth), Doogie White, Marc Storace (Krokus) and Don Airey. Songs included are ‘Empathy’, ‘Burning Heart’, ‘Forgive Me When I Fall’ and ‘Ride The Bullet’.

Osukaru will be releasing a very limited-edition album entitled Last Call – The EP recordings this coming summer, if you’re a fan keep your eyes peeled as only 300 copies will be printed. It combines the bands previously released EP’s and one brand new track ‘When She Calls My Name’.

Hard Rocker’s Halestorm return this summer with a new album. Vicious will be released in the UK on July 27th. It will include the tracks ‘Killing Ourselves To Live’, ‘Black Vultures’, ‘Conflicted’ and ‘Painkiller’.

Former Magnum members have formed a band Kingdom Of Madness which will focus on performing songs from the bands 1978-1994 era. Keyboardist Mark Stanway is joined by former Magnum Drummer Mickey Barker, Guitarist Laurence Archer, Bassist Neil Murray and popular AOR Vocalist Chris Ousey. They play their debut show at The Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton on Friday December 21st.

Ted Poley has been hard at work on a new solo album Modern Art which was written and recorded with modern melodic rockers Degreed. Who will also be his backing band at next years HRH AOR Festival. You can get it in mid-July via Ted’s official site as the first pressing will be unleashed in a limited amount a few months before it’s official release on Frontiers Records.

Melodic Rock Records have announced they will be doing some in-house crowd funding campaigns on occasional upcoming releases. Just like Kickstarter and the like it will offer bonuses and goodies for those that pre-order – with one major difference, no matter what, the release of the album is guaranteed. The first band to get this MRR treatment is Hearts on Fire – you can pre-order the album today via There is no definite release date just yet but it will be released later this year and the album is already entitled Call Of Destiny.

Ann Wilson of Heart will release her new solo album Immortal on September 14th via BMG. It is a covers album and features Wilson’s versions of ‘You Don’t Own Me’ (Lesley Gore), ‘I’m Afraid Of Americans’ (David Bowie), ‘Back To Black’ (Amy Winehouse) and ‘A Thousand Kisses Deep’ (Leonard Cohen).

Nitrate and new British band will release their debut album Real World via Melodic Rock Records on July 20th. The band is the brainchild of Nick Hogg (Guitars/Keyboards) he teamed up Rob Wylde (Midnite City / Tigertailz) to create Nitrate. The band also features Joss Mennen of Zinatra on Vocals and journeyman drummer Pete Newdeck. This album has been on the shelf a short while so album two is already written and should be released in 2019 – so if you enjoy this you won’t have long to wait for the follow up. Tracks included are ‘Breathe’, ‘Waiting on You’, ‘Attraction’ and ‘Only You’.

Legendary British Classic Rockers Uriah Heep return with their 25th studio album Living the Dream which will be unleashed on the 14th of September via Frontiers Records. The album includes the tracks ‘Take Away My Soul’, ‘Goodbye To Innocence’, ‘It’s All Been Said’ and ‘Grazed By Heaven’ which was co-written with Jeff Scott Soto.

R.I.P Ralph Santolla – It’s tragic we have recently lost the 48-year-old guitarist following a heart attack. His catalogue of music is quite varied, but he is well known in melodic rock circles due to his time with Eyewitness and Millennium. He was really active on social media, so his presence will be missed although his music will live on.

Are you ready for a new Enuff Znuff album? Well brace yourself August 10th is the launch date of the legendary rockers album Diamond Boy which is been released via Frontiers Records.

Following the success of the Frontiers Festival in both Italy and Sweden, the label has set up a Sweden edition. It will take place on October 13th and feature Eclipse, The Dark Element, Crazy Lixx, One Desire, Perfect Plan and Creye.
