Legendary Midlands melodic rockers Magnum have announced a live show at The Robin in Bilston on Saturday 29th July. Get your tickets now! This show serves as a warm up for their appearance at the Ramblin Man Festival the following day.

The Murder of My Sweet release their latest album Echoes of the Aftermath through Frontiers Records on January 27th. They have released a music video for the track ‘Personal Hell’, which is well worth checking out especially if you’re a fan of lead singer Aneglica. Enjoy!

Mike Tramp releases his latest solo album Maybe Tomorrow on February 24th. This coincides with a lengthy European tour including UK dates and an appearance at HRH AOR in March. Tramp states this is an introspective album and a very personal collection of songs.

Place Vendome release their new album Close To The Sun on February 24th through Frontiers Records. You can check out their lyric video for the track ‘Welcome To The Edge’ here.

Swedish AOR rockers Osukaru will release their fourth album The Labyrinth in March. It will feature the tracks ‘The Stories We Tell’, ‘It’s Only Forever’, ‘Poisonous’ and ‘Undying Rose’. It’s a concept album paying homage to fantasy films of the eighties most notably the film ‘Labyrinth’ hence the album title.

Legendary AOR act Asia will release their latest live album Symfonia – Live in Bulgaria 2013 through Frontiers Records on February 24th. It includes the Asia classic’s ‘Heat Of the Moment’, ‘The Smile Has Left Your Eyes’, ‘Wildest Dreams’ and ‘Don’t Cry’.

Last Autumns Dream will release their thirteenth album In Disguise through Escape Music on January 20th. It’s a collection of cover songs including ‘Working For The Weekend’, ‘Just One More Time’, ‘If Love Should Go’ and ‘All The Way’.

Rising blues hard rockers Inglorious have parted ways with guitarist Wil Taylor.

Ted Poley and Steve Brown’s new musical venture Tokyo Motor Fist will release their self-titled debut album on February 24th. They have released ‘Love Me Insane’ as an official audio video as a taster, and to my ears this sounds awesome and I can’t wait for the album to hit the streets. Crank up and enjoy this summer fuelled tune.

The highly-anticipated album from Pride Of Lions entitled Fearless is set for release on January 27th via Frontiers Records. In the meantime, though we can check out the official audio video for the song ‘Silent Music’.

Unruly Child are set to return on February 24th with their new album Can’t Go Home on Frontiers Records. Check out the first official audio video from it for the song ‘The Only One’ – 2017 is shaping up to be a very strong year for melodic rock!

UK melodic rockers Blood Red Saints will be having some new members soon as Keyboardist Irvin Parratt and Drummer Pete Newdeck both announced they have left the band via Facebook. I’m sure Parratt will pop up soon on other projects and bands in the very near future but Newdeck has already announced he is working closely with long-time friend Tony Mills (Shy/TNT) on his upcoming solo album – so that’s something to get excited about.

Lionville have released their first music video from their upcoming album for the track ‘I Will Wait’. The album A World Of Fools will be released on Frontiers Records on February 24th. Enjoy the video below.

Ratt frontman Stephen Pearcy has released another official audio video for the song ‘Want Too Much’. It’s lifted from his forthcoming album Smash which will be released by Frontiers Records on January 27th. Crank it up here.

Swedish rockers Bonafide will release their new album Flames on February 24th via Off Ya Rocka Records. They are playing HRH AOR in March amongst their extensive UK tour at the same time.

Frontiers Festival have announced the full line-up and day splits for their 2017 edition. Eternal Idol have released a new music video for the track ‘Awake In Orion’, you can check it out below. It’s from their album Unrevealed Secret which is out now through Frontiers Records.

A couple of sad deaths from the world of melodic rock to let you know about David A Saylor who lived in Birmingham and was a cult favourite for his work with Push UK, Wild Rose and his solo albums suddenly passed on New Year’s Day. I was a big fan of cult underground AOR act Amaze Me so it really saddened me to hear of the death of Peter Broman who passed just before new year after battling cancer. I know many underground melodic rock fans will be extremely sadden at the loss of these two very talented musicians. R.I.P

In shock announcement news, we have legendary US AOR band Hardline announcing a one-off UK exclusive show at The Robin, Bilston on May 23rd! I’m really excited about this as I’m sure all melodic rock fans are! Tickets are on sale now from the Robin website and support comes from local AOR-ster’s Iconic Eye!

Former Skin and Jagged Edge guitarist Myke Gray has announced he will release a new solo album at some point in 2017. Exciting news for fans of Gray’s work.

Young rockers Art Nation have completed their new album and have announced it is ready to be unleashed in April! So, keep your ears peeled!

Swedes Age of Reflection will release their debut album on February 24th via AOR Heaven. This album has long been in the works for some time and it has been mixed and mastered by the legend that is Erik Martensson of Eclipse! Tracks featured include ‘In The Heat Of The Night’, ‘Dying For Your Love’, ‘Blame It On My Heart’ and ‘Now and Forever’.

Exciting newcomers Supernova Plasmajets will release their self-titled debut album through AOR Heaven on February 24th. I’m really looking forward to this one as these guys mix modern rock sounds with a strong retro feel. Tracks included on the album are ‘Leave Forever’, ‘Turn Off The Lights’, ‘Hangin’ on My Lips’ and ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now’.

New Brummie melodic rock band Devilstar have had to change their name due to some unforeseen trademark issues. Main man Alex Cooper is gutted about the need for a name change as the band has been a long time in the works and a lot of passion and hard work has gone into the band. The band will now be known as Devilfire!

Jack Russell’s Great White have released another official audio video for the track ‘Love Don’t Live Here’. The album He Saw It Comin will be released on January 27th through Frontiers Records. Check the song out by clicking the link below.

Graham Bonnet Band have released a new music video for the track ‘Rider’ which you can enjoy below. It’s taken from his new album The Book which is out right now on Frontiers Records.

American pop/rock singer Stefanie will release her self-titled debut album through Escape Music on February 24th. It will include the songs ‘All I Know’, ‘Stranger’, ‘Everything You Need’ and ‘One Life’.

Exciting melodic rock newcomers One Desire have announced they will be releasing their debut album on March 24th through Frontiers Records. The album includes the songs ‘Love Injection’, ‘Falling Apart’, ‘Straight Through The Heart’ and ‘This Is Where The Heartbreak Begins’. Their first music video for the track ‘Hurt’ is also available for your viewing pleasure, prepare to be blown away!

Legendary rock band Kansas have released a live concert video for the track ‘Rhythm In The Spirit’, check it out below. The song itself is from the bands recently released album The Prelude Implicit.
